WELCOME
We (my students and I) are members of the Centre for Wildlife Ecology (CWE) in the Department of Biological Sciences at Simon Fraser University. The CWE was established in 1993 as a collaboration between the Canadian Wildlife Service, NSERC and SFU to foster the training of high quality graduate students and conduct research that tackles emerging issues in wildlife ecology and conservation.
We work on birds in pristine and modified landscapes from the Arctic to Central America. We conduct research, in partnership with scientists and conservation biologists in government and non-governmental agencies, that examines how environmental conditions and human activities influence the behavior of individuals, the viability of populations and the structure of bird communities. Our research addresses fundamental questions in avian ecology and helps inform the conservation and management of birds and their habitat.
OUR PARTNERS, COLLABORATORS AND FUNDERS.
The work we do would not be possible without the support of our many partners, collaborators and funders. Thank-you.
